About Fife Neighbourhood Watch

2006 Annual General Meeting

 AoSNW

Held in the Lecture Theatre

Fife Constabulary H.Q.

Glenrothes

Neighbourhood Watch arrived in Glenrothes, Fife in the early 1980's and, as it spread

across the county (region), Local Associations were formed to bring the watches     together   in their common goal of reducing crime.

20 years later the Regional  (Force-wide) Association was formed to bring members from    these Local Associations together to work as Partners with Fife Constabulary and other    Community Safety Agencies.

The Local Area Associations each have their own Police Community Safety Officer (CSO)    who is the local area association’s primary police contact whilst the individual watches    can contact their community constables. (Urgent calls are still 999 whilst the non urgent    reporting is via the contact centre 0845 6005702).

  The nine Local Areas comprise:

  Dunfermline

South West Fife (Dalgety Bay and West Fife Villages)

Central West Fife (Cowdenbeath & District)

Kirkcaldy Kinghorn and Burntisland

Glenrothes

Levenmouth

Cupar & District

St Andrews

            Tay Coast
