PARTNERS

The Fife Neighbourhood Watch  Association was one of the bodies  which organised the start up of the  National Body in Scotland, the  Association of Scottish Neighbourhood  Watches (AoSNW) and is proud to  have two Trustees on the  Board. This  gives us access to the Scottish  Business Crime Centre (SBCC), The  Scottish Community Safety Network  (SCSN), all Scottish Police Forces and  the Scottish Government.

Our constitution will be reviewed in 2012 as the current formats has membership nominated by the Local Area Associations.

Two of the Local Associations have folded in recent times and the members must now find a way of establishing a more flexible membership, perhaps individual members, to ensure that the Association is fully sustainable. We hope to keep this website functioning whatever the Future holds.

Our Lifelong Partner.

Ever since NW was introduced into Scotland in the early 1980s, Fife Police have been our main partner supporting the movement from its early days  to the present time with the current Community Policing model engaging the public in deciding policing priorities and strengthening the NW profile.

Scottish Charity

The Fife Neighbourhood Watch Assn. was registered with the  Inland Revenue as a Scottish Charity, registration number

SC 035494.

We are currently registered with OSCR, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator

 OSCr

30 years of Neighbourhood Watch has seen many changes in the policing strategy   throughout the U.K.

The NW movement has now, more than at any time in its history, to be self reliant,   actively promoting safety and building stronger communities.
